After several years of discussion of the Bill to regulate the use of vaping devices in Colombia, on May 9, 2024, the National Government issued Law 2354 in order to guarantee health rights, especially of minors under 18 years old and the non-smoking population.

In this sense, consumption, sale, advertising and promotion of cigarettes, tobacco products, their derivatives, substitutes or imitators and the devices necessary for their operation are regulated. For such purpose, the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce within a term of six (6) months must issue the corresponding regulation in order to apply the following items contained in Law 1335 of 2009:

• Packaging and labeling.
• Content in the media intended to the general public.
• Advertising on billboards and similar.
• Promotion.
• Prohibition of sponsorship.
