Inés Elvira is an associate in the Firm’s Environment and Natural Resources practice group. She has been recognized by Legal 500 Latin America as a recommended lawyer in the Projects area. She has been with the Firm since 2013, advising clients in the oil sector. She offers particular depth of skills and experience in all oil and gas areas, including the acquisition of exploration and exploitation areas, business contract structuring, environmental law, and joint operation agreements. Her experience is deepened by seven years of practice as general counsel for companies in the upstream sector and oilfield services, and three years of independent exclusive advice to operator and oilfield services companies.
- Emerald Energy: Serving as local counsel in the execution of a farmout agreement for the development of unconventional deposits operations for US$30 million.
- Pacific Midstream Holding Corp.: Advising on the sale of Pacific Midstream Ltd. shares to International Finance Corporation, IFC’s Global Infrastructure Fund, LP, and GIF Co-Investment LP I, for US$240 million.
- OGX Oil and Gas: Serving as local counsel in the disinvestment process in Colombia through the sale of three technical evaluation contracts to Drummond S.A.
- Emerald Energy: Counseling in the transfer of three exploration and exploitation contracts to Ecopetrol, and the negotiation of the joint operation agreement for each of the transferred assets.
